We sampled "Pirate" this morning. It turned out nicely (see photo).
You'll notice that we made the artwork as large as possible -- see how it fills up a toddler 2T shirt.
Claudia hasn't issued film on the other three designs yet, and no one has asked for samples. If you like the artwork size and the other details, we'll forge ahead.
A Note on the Superhero:
This is our least favorite design. We're concerned that a generic super hero (as opposed to a licensed Spider Man or Batman character) will have limited appeal.
We didn't love the original spiky hairstyle (it made him look old and weak), so we gave him more hair.
We're also not crazy about the yellow cape -- we're considering changing the color to light blue.
ROCK STAR/GUITAR HERO
For a while, we intended to replace Super Hero with a Rock Star/Guitar Hero illustration. I was going to try to replicate your style, but I don't think I'll have time with everything else on my plate (and with a perfectly attractive Super Hero already completed).
The thinking behind Rock Star is this: the home video game "Guitar Hero" is mega-popular in the States, and people are already attuned to this trend.
If you think Rock Star would be better, feel free to illustrate one. If not, we'll go with Super Hero.

My son has the super hero shirt and we absolutely love it!!! We get compliments on it ALL the time. :)
